Beauty | Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation Review

I'm by no way a professional makeup artist nor makeup reviewer. I'm just your everyday consumer that enjoys new beauty products. Something new in my makeup bag is ...

I have to say, I kinda love it!

Here the Product description:
Cover Girl's Ready, Set Gorgeous foundation provides a flawless, natural look that lasts all day in one simple step. Blends easily to even skin tone for a flawless look. Shine free look lasts all day. Oil free, won't clog pores.
(1.0 fl oz.)

Since this is a drugstore brand, you will not find testers, so I did my best to eyeball the color and decided to purchase two since I seemed in between shades.

I picked the two deepest shades, 315 Tawny and 320 Soft Sable. I assumed 315 was too light and 320 was too dark.

You know, as I write this and review the last few times I've worn it, I've decided I love this foundation. I have had problems in the past because I have somewhat combination skin. I'm oily in some places and totally dry in others. It has a satiny finish so I'm not super matte and dry. The coverage is great to me and it's totally not cakey. I like to look good but not casket-good.

Now let's talk about the shades. I was pleasantly surprised to find a shade deep enough to match me. You know my #MelaninOnFleek right?! lol! I generally would assume if I'm buying Covergirl that if it's not the Queen collection then I wouldn't find my shade. The shade matches my skin better than any other foundation I have tried thus far.

Note: I blended two shades to get my perfect match.

A quick note about the packaging. I absolutely love it. It’s super hygienic. I can apply it to a clean sponge for application. Due to it being a squeeze tube, you're not going to have to worry about a major spill happening, been there, done that! I apply the product with a brush or beauty blender, both work fine for me. It helps even out my skin tone and cover up some redness from blemishes.

Covergirl also offers Ready Set Gorgeous Pressed Powder Foundation & Concealer. Neither of which I purchased. I finished my look by priming with ELF Hydrating primer and then concealing with LA Girl Pro Concealer (both are pictured earlier in post). The lippie of the day was MAC Girl About Town.

I bought this while on vacation because I forgot my foundation, and for the money I certainly can't complain. It provided a nice natural coverage with a moderately satin finish. I wouldn't recommend it for full coverage. If you want something easy, light, and long-lasting, definitely get this product. Good foundation for a quick cover up in the warmer Spring and Summer seasons.
