Food | Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

This Keto Snack inspired Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño is a low carb twist on a sports bar favorite! It is super simple to make. These are creamy, cheese loaded snacks have the fat content definitely leaves you satiated.

American sports bar food can generally be thought of as “this will do” food. Meaning, most of the chain establishments food that hot and edible but nothing worth writing home about. I guess with football season starting and the weather being right on the cusp of Autumn, I’d started cravings those warm tailgate/sports bar type foods. So now my focus is shifting to meals that can satisfy my attempt at Lazy Keto and immerse me in those nostalgic feel-good Fall flavors.

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

I made the Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers in the oven, but it can easily be made on the grill as well. The chicken and cheese mixture can also be prepared ahead of time so when it’s time to actually start cooking, the only thing you have to do is de-seed of your jalapeños. Pretty simple!

I’d often end up making double the cheese mixture because stopping to grab a few more peppers on the way home is a breeze. Another option would be to add diced chicken into the cheese mixture. If you’re not familiar with the dish I’m alluding to, it’s pretty simple. Just grab a rotisserie chicken during your next grocery trip, and add chicken that’s been diced from the bone into your cheese mixture. My new favorite way to use this chicken and cheese mixture is found in my jalapeno popper chicken bowl, perfect for Super Bowl! Don't worry, there's a recipe post coming soon!
