Lifestyle Family Fitness...Journey Continues (written on 2/5/11)

So yesterday was quite interesting. Meet with a trainer at a gym I joined. She will not be my personal trainer but just helped test my fitness level and started me on the right track. Sir was right by my side all the way. Actually joining the gym was his idea, which helps a lot. The trainer even mentioned a lot of times its the women that want to get in shape and they are "dragging" the men in (who really don't want to be there). She commended Sir for being so proactive.
Anyway, we basically did some tests for her to measure balance and technique, how to set the equipment up for your height. After she left, we were on our own and free to use the gym how we intended. So I know I am going to be all over the cardio equipment. I just completely understand the purpose and how to use it. Now when it comes to the weights. I am completely lost! Its soooo many machines! We get to meet with her again and hopefully she will put together a program for me (especially for the weights) because I have no clue how long I should be doing each exercise and how often. I don't want to feel like I'm interrupting Sir's workout but when it comes to weights I'm am going to need a coach to push me through. I also think I'm going to have to write down what I am doing from day to day to keep track of what exercises I am doing.

I am really trying to win this biggest loser challenge at work. At 1st it was about inspiring others but now I'm totally in competition mode.

The trainer recommended that we both take a multi-vitamin daily. After our workout we stopped by the vitamin shop and picked some up. Wasn't too expensive either. Sad to say they somewhat stink and are a little big for me to swallow. I never have enjoyed swallowing pills but eeh, what can you do!

Then later we took a trip to the grocery store. Now I must say...in 2011 we've been making awesome choices when grocery shopping and I see the progress coming. Mapped out our meals for the week.

Here is this week's meals. Feel free to copy if you like. (BTW we like chicken if you could tell)
