What's For Dinner | Naan Flatbread Pizza

What's For Dinner?
Tummy rumbles....

Tonight Menu: Naan Flatbread Pizza

Want to make this with me?

Serves: 2 (4 if you're not greedy like my hubby and I, LOL)

What You'll Need:
Cookie Sheet or Pizza Stone
2 Naan Flat Bread
Topping Options (the sky is the limit here but these are mine)
Frozen Fajita-style Peppers and Onions
1 package of pepperoni
2 or 3 Italian sausage links, cooked & sliced
Shredded Cheese (I used Mozzarella)
Sauce
1 - 6 oz can of tomato paste
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
A few dashes of each dried spices: oregano, basil, rosemary, onion powder, salt, pepper and a little sugar
Note: I use sugar in almost ever dish I prepare that uses tomato based sauces, a little sugar cuts down on the acidic taste of tomatoes)
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of Olive Oil

Preparation:

Saute meats (ex. Italian sausage or protein of your choice) then drain and set aside.

Place a cup of frozen peppers and onions into the microwave for 1 min to thaw.

Place tomato paste into a bowl then stir in water and olive oil to thin mixture’s consistency. Add dry spices to taste and stir until smooth.

Take out Naan flatbread, cover with your pizza sauce.

Cover with shredded cheese.

Add assortment of veggies then follow with meats.

Sprinkle a little shredded cheese *glue* so toppings don't fall off.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, or until bread are lightly browned and cheese is melted.

Top with grated parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning.

It should look something like this…

Have you made DIY pizza before? If so, what toppings did you use?
