Motherhood | Feeding a Toddler When You’re Short on Time (Part 2 - Lunch)
Hello lovelies! Here is Part 2 of my Toddler Feeding Series - Lunch!
I make sure to always follow these three golden rules:
Now onward to the midday meal! Lunch varies but lately she's being served one of three options: Chicken Nuggets/Fingers, Ham & Cheese Roll Up or Pasta w/ Veggies! Now full disclosure...the chicken nuggets or fingers she eats are store bought. I'd love to have the time to roll chicken in panko and bake them for homemade but I wouldn't be honest if I didn't share that YES my kid eats (dun, dun, dun) GENERIC chicken nuggets/fingers! Real talk, I ain't got (yes I said got) time fo' dat! I'd love to but its just not me, not right now anyway. I mean, she gets fruit with it! This is normally accompanied with a Nuby cup of whole milk and one of the following fruits: diced nectarines, blueberries, diced peaches, strawberries or grapes.
So let's talk about one of the other options.
So let's talk about one of the other options.
The Ham and Cheese Roll ups are great. I've used crescent rolls for years breakfast (here is an example: Day After Christmas Brunch) and now I use them for lunch!
Want to make this! It's Simple!
This can be made ahead of time and reheated in microwave. I normally use a sandwich bag and pop in microwave for 15 seconds, the bread is soft and the cheese doesn't over heat for my young eater! I normally serve this with a Yogurt Pouch!
(sides for breakfast lunch and dinner are always alternating, no matter the meal)
What are you feeding your little crumb snatcher for lunch these days? Give me a shout in the comments!
