Motherhood | Sunday Fun-day @ Brier Creek Toddler Playground

Hey lovelies! As the calendar shifts to autumn, I've tried to squeeze every minute of family fun into the fleeting summer days. I've known about this playground near my house that has equipment scaled down for toddlers for a few months now. I wanted to take her out there but just every day I'd make plans to go, something would come up and I'd have to cancel.

As I sat in the office on (yet another) Sunday...I made a list a chores that needed to be done at home once I was free from work. For a brief moment as work seemed to hit a lull in the day, I daydreamed of my husband and daughter having a playful Daddy/Daughter day and I wanted in! I said to myself, "THAT'S IT, WE'RE HAVING FAMILY FUN TODAY!" If you've been here before, you know that #TeamFife rarely has family time!

I text my husband and exclaimed, "Let's go the park/playground today!"...Sir was down and Pumpkin gets no say, she goes where we go. #GrownUpsRule Doesn't matter though, I knew she'd love it and have a really fun time. Seeing her happy, ya'll.....there aren't words to explain how it makes me feel. Oh and spending time with Sir ain't half bad either! Lol

The playground is located in North Raleigh at the Brier Creek Community Center. It's just minutes away from our home. It was totally designed with toddlers in mind. Little ones getting used to a little bit of independence will love this playground.

The slides are shorter here and it has great peek-a-boo places. There is a little tunnel she could crawl though and a tic-tac-toe board we had a great time playing with. The playground is right next to a HUGE open field and covered park shelter with tons of tables. There was actually a big day party going on that we kinda’ crashed but we didn’t help ourselves to their food or seats.

The community center closes at 6 on Sundays and we went late in the day so I have no details on what that looks like inside. Guess I have an excuse to stop by again while it’s still early in autumn. One of best things about living in the south is that the reasonably warm days will last well into October most years!

Welp, that’s about it lovelies! Next adventure, not sure yet. One event that we’ll definitely be discussing next month is the N.C. State Fair from Oct 15-25, 2015! Can’t wait!!

Talk to you later lovelies,

~Shan, Ms. Naturally Random
