Motherhood | Free or Cheap Summer Activities for Kids
Today, we're talking to the kids and kids-at-heart! I have been researching a few things to do this summer with my little one that are low cost. I wanted alternatives to the swimming pool and playground. I'll be honest with you, I'm not a fan of the heat! Just being real. We'll go, but just to break up Mommy's exposure to the elements, let's aim at a couple indoor activities.
I'll be sharing two really cool and inexpensive things to do to beat the heat of the dog days of Summer!
(1) Kids Bowl Free
I totally lucked up on the program. I haven't used it just yet, but we'll make a visit to the bowling alley but Summer's end. Kids get 2 FREE games of bowling ALL SUMMER LONG!! What you talkin' 'bout Willis? I think this would be great, especially for parents of older kids.
If you're local (Raleigh, NC), the participating location in The Alley on Hillsborough St. You'll have to find out what locations are in the "Kids Bowl Free" program. After signing up, there were also some discounts offered to me as a parent on my games! #SCORE
For more information on how to sign up and to find participating locations, click here!
(2) Summer Movie Express
Admission to the Summer Movie Express is only $1. Tickets available for purchase at the box office and all movies start at 10:00 am, every Tuesday and Wednesday. Parents and kiddos get to pick from two options of G Rated movies to see on either day. If you're local (Raleigh, NC) there are two Regal Cinemas in shopping complexes - North Hills and Brier Creek.
For a list of what movies will be shown and which days, click here.
So parents, make sure you all stay cool out there and remember to have fun and hydrate in between! If I find any other interesting places for you #RandomMoms to attend to beat the heat, I'll let you know!
Leave a comment with what ways you are beating the heat this summer!
Meet me and the moms for the premiere of "Bad Moms" at North Hills Regal Cinemas on July 29th!
I'd love to tally a headcount so if your can make it, please rsvp via Facebook!!
Every mom needs a night off, right?! Before the movie, we'll stop into Firebirds Grill for dinner and a few mommy libations! #TurnUp
