Event | Laughter + Libations Recap
Laughter + Libations in my humble opinion was a huge success! 2017 has been a heck of a year, like truly unforgettable! I wanted to end the year by regrouping with old friends, making new connections and looking forward to the future. I must say, all of that happened! Laughter + Libations goal is to create an environment for women coming together at a different locations for . Our first event was in July 2016, and we went to Firebirds in North Hills. After a hiatus and a few small and intimate get-togethers hosted in private residences, I decided it was time to bring back the #Random meetups.

I decided on Relish Craft Kitchen and Bar and it was just everything! I'd like to take a moment to thank the management and staff for going out of their way to take care of myself and my group! The tables were set before I'd even arrived and guests were swiftly ushered into our reserved area. Each server approached our table with a smile and made sure your order was perfect. Even when guests made some customization to their orders, everything came out to great. The ambiance was great and the food was even better!
I noticed that quite a few attendees ordered one of the many Mac & Cheese Skillets (which are huge by the way 😋) and might I add economical. I also noticed a lot of take-home boxes. Great dinner and a yummy lunch at work the next day? Who doesn't love a good 2-for-1 deal?! You can check out there menu here.
I was very familiar with the menu, as I am already a fan of the establishment, so I opted to try something new. I ended up the shrimp and grits. Let's just say, I crushed...belly was literally on "swole" mode! Thank goodness for shapewear!
The signature drink of the night was the "Random Kentucky Mule" and y'all................ It's served in a specially crafted copper mug, so it's pretty and delicious! It was sooooooooo good! Let me give you a little breakdown of what's in it.
Dinner conversations are always fun. We dabbled a little into talking about our careers, relationships and politics. We even got into some lighthearted topics like tv shows and pop culture. We figured out most of the group had something in common. We're all binge-watchers and go through a little bit of a withdrawal at the end of a really good season. I absolutely loved seeing the connections happen around the room. Maybe you're in the market to find a home, well that lady that was a stranger no more than an hour ago just sold and can recommend a great realtor. Maybe you're looking for a new gym, well ma'am, did you know you're sitting across from a fab fitness enthusiast? Hey girl, hey, that lippie looks great on you and she proceeds to introduce you to the greatness that is Fenty Beauty.
That's why it's always useful to step outside of your box and attend an event similar to Laughter + Libations. Teamwork makes the dream work and that tribe member you've been looking for just might be in the room. This is the initial purpose of deciding to host local meetups. Trying new things, meeting new people and sharing in a sisterhood of "needing a damn day off"!
Thanks again to all the attendees. I think I'm getting more comfortable in this social butterfly role and want you to know your girlfriends are more than welcome to come along. Let's help each other laugh, sip and relax together.
Y'all really made a girl feel some type good...you can find more pictures on my Facebook page! Don't forget to like and share!
Want to check out Relish but don't have time for sit down dinner? Check out their small catering kitchen called the Kitchen Table!
With all that said, did you all enjoy yourselves?! I’m already toiling away at some ideas for a future event! I can’t wait to plan the next meet-up! If you want to be apart of the group, please comment and I can add you to the mailing list.
