What's For Dinner | Swiss & Mushroom Burgers
Tonight Menu: Mushroom
and Swiss Burgers

Serves: 4
- 1 lb of Ground Turkey or Beef (I used Turkey)
- Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tbsp of Butter
- Silicone Brush Baster
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- Cremini or White Mushrooms (I like Cremini)

And there you have it....Swiss & Mushroom Burgers. These are great paired with sweet potatoes fries or a side salad!

- Mix Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Worcestershire Sauce into ground meat.
- Once thoroughly incorporated, form four patties equally sized patties.
- On medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of butter in skillet.
- Brown patties on both sides.
- To create a "grill-like" crisp on patties...apply softened butter with silicone brush baster.
- Note: Be careful not to rush this process by turning up the heat, especially if using turkey! It will result in a very dry burger.
- Once patties are cooked though (I prefer medium well), remove burgers and allow to rest.
- Add mushrooms to buttery goodness in skillet and give them a few extra shakes of Worcestershire sauce. Cover and allow them to soften.
- Place mushroom on top of burger patties and for some added flavor, toss on a slice of Swiss cheese.
Plate and serve.
