11 On The Go Keto Snacks
Keeping a variety of low carb snacks that are also keto-friendly helps you to stay on track. Here is a list of Keto Snacks which I have personally devoured! All are grab-and-go and easy to add to your fridge or pantry. What a great way to work at squashing your cravings when you need something tasty but it's not the time for a complete meal.

Duke's Smoked Shorty Sausages, alliteration, don't you just love it. Here's how the company describes these tasty little treats.
"Short on size, not on flavor, these slow-dried sausages are made from the best ingredients we could get our hands on and slow-smoked to be pint-sized perfections."
The Shorty sausages come in 6 varieties but make sure the macros fit your personal needs when purchasing. The "Hickory Peach BBQ" would seem like a no-brainer that they contain sugar but the "Original Recipe" (pictured) also contain real cane sugar. It only works out to be 1 gram, so that is fine for me but maybe you're doing "strict keto" and cane sugar has been totally abolished from your home. In short, reading the labels and decide ladies and gents.
Duke's can be a bit pricey in your local grocery store (totally on brand for me, y'all know). I would suggest searching for Duke's at a big box store like Walmart or Target where you can find the sausages priced about 1/3 lower in cost.
So, although I loved the taste, I did seek out alternatives the weeks when the dollars just don't make sense. I have since tossed the packaging (because I ate them all) but I know the ingredient list differs a bit here, so they're not equals but for my macros and coin purse needs, the alternatives work on off weeks.
Simms Snack Sticks
At Aldi (link), you can find Simms Snack Sticks. No Aldi near you, no need to fret, after a little search of the "Googles" I found Amazon carries them as well.
They taste smokey and meaty so they’re an on-the-go staple in our household. Think Slim Jim but without that oily texture. They make a variety of meat products like summer sausage and jerky but I prefer Turkey snack sticks.
Bridgford Foods Natural Style Original Smokehouse Sausage Sticks
(Not Pictured) Last addition to the Sausage category, Bridgford Foods Natural Style Original Smokehouse Sausage Sticks. In appearance, texture, and smell, they are very similar to Duke's. I found them at Dollar General. I really enjoy both the Original and Hot ‘n’ Spicy Smokehouse Sausage Sticks varieties.
Nuts & Seeds
Convenience packaging for almonds worked for me early on my keto journey. If you are concerned with controlling portion-sizes, the 100-calorie packs might be a great way to go. Using the palm of my hand as a suggested serving size wasn't working for me initially. One handful would turn into one-and-a-half and one-in-a-half would turn into two. Having the finite amount in my purse, in a sealed package really helped me to deal with cravings and become more accustomed to appropriate serving size.
Southern Grove Pepitas Roasted with Salt
Psst! Pepitas are technically pumpkin seeds, yet found only in select pumpkin varieties. Southern Grove nuts and seeds are available at Aldi, one of my favorite stores. After checking out the nutritional information for many options in the Southern Grove line, I selected the roasted and salted version. With salt? Why not?! Every keto diet instructional will tell you how important it is to replenish your electrolytes. Bring on the sodium (within reason). Also, this is a good break from the plain almonds I usually eat. I occasionally enjoy about 1/4 cup between meals.
Before Keto, I would have never guessed I would chomp down on sheets of seaweed! Yet, here I am, grabbed to containers every trip I take to Lidl. I enjoy the Sea Salt often with tuna and cheese stick as a snack platter. I was also surprised to find Korean BBQ Style (not pictured). I assumed BBQ would instantly mean there is some sugar lurking in there somewhere but I was surprised to find no sugar.

Maltodextrin hasn't caused me discomfort yet, but I consume it but in small quantities. The serving size is about 8 sheets and I contain myself to that if paired with another snack. Realistically, I'm usually devouring the whole container while watching a movie. It is now my equivalent to popcorn.
Trader Joe's Wasabi Roasted Seaweed Snack
I LOVE heat. I purchase hot pepper sauce, dried cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper, sriracha regularly. I have always been interested in sushi, but admittedly, I'm not a sushi eater, no reason really, I have never tried it. So when I noticed wasabi flavored seaweed, I was all in. I must admit, this flavor was not for me but I wanted to share them anyway. It may be for you. If you're a fan of Wasabi and seaweed, try them out.
Let's give a round of applause for the majesty of cheese. What a great keto-friendly snack. Pictured are three different options, Cheese Crisps, Cream Cheese and Cheese Sticks. Cheese crisps generally have one gram of carbs per serving, so it's a snack that won't knock you out of ketosis. Cream cheese is so versatile and used in this household. I eat it with pepperoni and it's also a great addition for my Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers.
Cheese sticks are for both kids and adults and great on the go. Many companies market cheese sticks to children only. I'm an adult and I regularly indulge in cheese sticks. My daughter definitely thinks these are only for her lunchbox. Sorry kiddo, these are a family snack. The flavors are endless and it's easy to overeat, so be careful on the portion sizes. Gouda and Pepperjack are some of my favorites.
Gimme The Fats
Fats can be an excellent snack, some you have to make yourself, like fat bombs for instance. When you don't have time to make snacks ahead and need something that is available on the go, here are a few fats examples.

I started off grabbing Trader José’s (Trader Joe's) Avocado’s Number Guacamole To Go which are similar to the Wholly Guacamole single packs. I love to snack on guacamole, but I find that it’s hard to keep my portions in check. I also initially opted to get similar packs because I couldn't eat a whole avocado in one day. I thought browned avocado was no good. Things have changed, come close, let me tell you a secret, scrap the brown away and still eat the avocado! Avocadoes and Guacamole are totally manageable snacks for in between lunch and dinner.
Pork Rinds are Fried. Pork. Skins. They have 0g total carbs per serving! Sign me up! I use them in many ways, including as faux "bread crumbs". Pork rinds are definitely one of the best crunchy keto snacks out there and I include them often in my keto snack platters. Watch out for the ingredients that may trigger you. If you miss potato chips, this can become a perfect substitute.
Elevation bars by Millville

These bars help cure my late night sweet tooth. If you're familiar with Atkins snack bars, you'll probably enjoy the Elevation bars as well. I've switched and saved! All of the Carb Conscious line range from 2 - 3g of carbohydrates per bar. I realized recently that the bar flavors are actually categorized. Advance bars are considered a light meal. Breaktime is labeled simply as a snack bar. Lastly, Endulgent bars are treat bars.
Side note: Millville spelled Indulgent that way, not me.
So far I've tried two flavors, Cranberry Almond and Peanut Butter Fudge Crisp. Cranberry Almond is considered a Breaktime snack bar. Cranberries and almonds have always been great together and I've thoroughly enjoyed them. Peanut Butter Fudge Crisp tastes like combining a Snickers and a Twix and I love them! It also falls into the Breaktime category but I treat them more like a dessert. If the Breaktime bars taste this good, I can just imagine what those designated as Treats taste like.
If you aren't drooling yet, here are the remaining four Carb-Conscious flavors, Caramel Chocolate Peanut Nougat, Coconut Almond, Caramel Double Chocolate Crunch, and Caramel Nut.
Chocolate, yep chocolate is a great snack for keto! It's important to choose dark chocolate, meaning 70% cocoa. It's high in fat and lower carbs and sugar than traditional chocolate bars. I chose Ghirardelli Intense Dark Moonlight Mystique which is 92% Cacao Dark. Chile, this tasted like a cup of black coffee with a chocolate chip melted in it. Some love that strong unsweetened chocolate flavor but after my second time purchasing, I had to drop down to 72% Cacao, which has higher sugar content. Keep your portions in check no matter what percentage of chocolate solids are present.
