New Year Wishes!

So here we go, another year, another moment to consider what has been, what might be...and I can say, I am quite blessed to be in it!

I've waited for a few days into the new year to write this post. All the excitement has died down from the holidays and I'm really get back into the swing of work life and blogging regularly.

There are a couple of things I'd like to accomplish this year. Of course my first priority is to my little pumpkin still in the oven! We're six months into this pregnancy journey and both of us are still doing ok. Feeling her move, kick and squiggle is the absolute joy of my day! As we approach the last few months of this journey, I realize I have some tough days ahead. With God's help, hubby by my side and tons a friends support, Pumpkin and I will be troopers. Speaking it into existence!

My second priority and what I am calling my power word for the year is: PRESENT. I want to be more present! There are so many times in life when we are rushing along, bills to pay, deadlines to meet, etc. We often neglect small things. I watched a video today that reminded me how often we forget to present in the moment and truly appreciate what is right in front of us!

I totally concurred with the subject of the short film! I want to live in the moment, not just re-live flashes on my twitter feed and instagram posts but really take it all in, right there and right then!

My third priority is a bucket list. You've heard of those...a list of things you'd like to accomplish before kicking the bucket! A friend and I were texting each other recently and quoting myself, I told her, "I gotta stop all the 'I was thinking about doing XYZ...' this is not a resolution or anything but I say this A LOT! I'm such a procrastinator!"
Getting your ideas out of your head and onto paper can really help you focus them. Don't just jot them down in a notebook then never open it again but post it in your home, set a realistic timeframe for yourself to get it done and lastly, CONQUER that thing! This is how I will attack my bucket list. As they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day" and I certainly will not complete my bucket list in 2014. Lord willing, I'm here to stay a while longer than that! :-) So before I go, I'll share a few snippets from my list I've come up with so far.

  • Attend a free seminar
  • Learn CPR
  • Take a makeup lesson
  • Learn to swim (don't judge me)
  • Wear false eyelashes
  • Get a tattoo

Well that's about it so far. Nothing too surprising right?! I'm no where near finished!
Do you have a bucket list? Want to share what is on it?!

Let's chat and Comment below!

Talk to you later lovelies,
